MY STORY

When asked, “How did you get into this line of work?” I often find it difficult to answer. How do you explain a journey encompassing your entire life? My work is my vocation. It was born from my pain, my beauty, and my truth. I have always been sensitive, intuitive, and spiritually aware. Over time, this truth was brought to life through the hands of my teachers. It was nurtured by the support of beautiful friends. It was fulfilled in the love and healing of Spirit.

My first memories of Spirit are from my early childhood. At a young age, I felt and played with a variety of energies. When I was eight years old, at a church camp, I became aware of the concept of God. Suddenly, my experiences had a framework. It was quite a miracle in my little life to have an explanation for my feelings and to meet people who were willing to discuss them. From then into my twenties, I continued to be involved in Christianity. The people I met along that road offered me encouragement, love, and insight. They cared for me through the tough questions—for which I am forever grateful.

Outside the realm of traditional religion, other spiritual experiences have greatly influenced my personal belief system. While attending Eastern Washington University, I participated in The Outdoor Program. Their classes introduced me to the magnificence of the wilderness. In the outdoors, I found a connection to the truth within my heart. Being healed by nature, I began to understand the necessity of honoring the earth as our sacred home.

After college, my work as a Recreation Therapist offered another opportunity for tremendous growth. Working in psychiatric hospitals, I encountered a world of suffering far beyond my comprehension. Very quickly, my personal definitions of existence were challenged. I also struggled with modern medicines’ inability to assist people with their psychological trauma. However, two pieces of wisdom arose out of this experience. I learned it was necessary to view a person as a whole being in order for a healing process to be effective. In addition, I discovered my longing for a spiritual response to human pain.

This desire, and my inner calling to support people in their spiritual healing, brought me to California and to the Claremont School of Theology. There, I stepped into a lifelong study of spirituality and human fulfillment. At Claremont, new worlds became available to me. Feminism, social justice, Wicca, philosophies, theologies, new age and religious education added whole new layers of understanding to my personal spiritual perspective. At the same time (because I was 24 and could not touch my toes), I began studying Hatha Yoga with Sandy Jones at Blue Iris Productions in Upland, CA. Through Sandy's tutelage, a slow revolution began in my body and in my life. The practice of yoga transformed every facet of my being — allowing my inner truth to emerge and integrate more fully with Spirit.

One of the surprising results of my yoga practice was the awakening of my psychic abilities. Prior to this point, I had a vague awareness of my psychic gifts. Out of fear, I had contained them for many years. Yoga, in combination with my first Reiki attunement, opened my abilities to a level I could not ignore. Confronted with the reality of embracing my true self, I was led to a wonderful healing arts practitioner.

My teacher, Joanne Le Morandier, founder of the Claremont Healing Arts Center, became my first guide into the world of energy. She opened my eyes to the emotional, physical, and spiritual healing available to each one of us. From her I received my Healing Arts Practitioner certification and my Reiki Master Attunement.

Since then, I have continued to study yoga, trained in crystal healing techniques, and developed my natural psychic abilities. Every year is another amazing experience of personal and spiritual growth. Today, I have been in private practice as a psychic and healing arts practitioner for over six years. My work is to support people in discovering their full life and spiritual potential. My path is to explore the depths of life, love, and Spirit. It is a journey I am grateful and honored to share with you.

Namaste.
